Prostate is a gland of the size of a walnut, responsible for making and storing semen. Due to tissue enlargement, the urethra gets compressed, and blocks the urine flow partially.

Prostate gland removal or prostatectomy is a surgical procedure performed to treat the prostate cancer and prostate enlargement. Prostate gland is found only in males, and all or part of it is removed during the surgery.
Impotency and incontinency are most common complication of prostatectomy. After the removal of prostate gland, due to retrograde ejaculation, the ejaculation will be dry, but experience of orgasm remains unaffected.
